A couple of nights ago, I was at a local bookstore and finally, I now have a T-Square! (Yeah, I'm so pathetic, LOL). But the really happy story (yes, it's happy) happened when I was at the counter paying for it.

The attractive cashier asked me what I do for work, and I said I'm a comicbook artist. Surprised, she said (in our vernacular), "I never thought you need this for doing comics". And so, since it was like 10 minutes before the mall closes and there's not much people, her one-lined question started a conversation and I explained the drawing process that a page usually undergoes. Again she was surprised, saying "Wow. And then I never really cared about the art whenever I read comicbooks! You just made me a fan of comics!". Ain't that a happy story?

Then she added, "I should tell my kid to take care of his comics!".

Aw, nuts.
